Coconut Burfi/Nariyal ki burfi/Thengai burbi

Coconut burfi is one of the most popular Indian sweets around the festival time.
It is very easy to make and can be mad with only a few ingredients. The taste and juices that emanate from the fresh coconut, give a special richness to this delicacy.

They are perfect for parties because you can make a big batch in a short span of time.

Ingredients:
Shredded coconut- 5 cups
Ghee- 4 teaspoons
Milk- 3/4 cup
Sugar- 3.75 cups
Cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon


Directions:
1. Roast 5 cups of shredded coconut with 2 tsp of ghee for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add milk and sugar. Mix well on medium flame until sugar dissolves completely.
3. Let it cook over medium flame. Add cardamom powder and 1 tsp ghee.
4. Keep stirring till the mixture starts to thicken ( 20 Minutes approximately)
5. The coconut mixture starts to separate from the pan.
6. Continue stirring till the mixture starts to form a shape.
7. Transfer the mixture into a greased pan.
8. Spread it evenly and then allow it to set for 10-15 minutes.
9. Cut into pieces when it is still warm.

Coconut Burfi is ready!!
