Cream Cheese Wontons I Good Times With Jen | Tastemade

Make one of your favorite nontraditional take-out orders at home.

INGREDIENTS:
8 ounces (1 package) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup scallions, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
30 wonton wrappers
1 egg, beaten for sealing wontons
Oil for frying
Sweet chili or sweet and sour sauce for dipping

STEPS:
1.) In a bowl, combine cream cheese, scallions, and seasonings.
2.) Scoop about half a tablespoon on the center of each wonton, and line the edges with some egg wash. To close, fold and press one corner onto an opposite corner to form a triangle. Apply more egg wash onto a corner tip, and fold them over to seal.
3.) Heat oil for deep frying to 350°F. Carefully fry a few wontons at a time, until crispy and golden brown. Serve with sauce for dipping.
