Hot and spicy recipe of raw banana tossed with capsicum in tangy and sweet sauce

CRISPY CHILLI RAW BANANA

Ingredients

3 large raw bananas
2-3 green chillies, crushed
½ tablespoon oil + for deep-frying
1 cup mixed capsicum strips
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon red chilli sauce
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1½ tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
2 teaspoons white sesame seeds (safed til), roasted

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Peel and cut raw bananas into thick strips. Deep-fry in hot oil till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
3. Heat ½ tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add mixed capsicum strips, green chillies, crushed peppercorns, salt, chilli sauce and tomato ketchup, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Add fried banana strips, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and sesame seeds, mix and cook for a minute. Add remaining coriander leaves and mix.
5. Serve hot.
