David Higgs on his favourite dishes in SA

In 2010, David Higgs now chef at Rosebank hotspot Marble took home a trifecta of prizes at the Eat Out Restaurant Awards. Under his steerage, Rust en Vrede won Restaurant of the Year, the Service Excellence Award, and David himself took the Chef of the Year title. Before opening Marble, he led the now-closed Five Hundred at The Saxon to number 2 in the Top 10. As chef of Marble, hes transforming local, seasonal ingredients into something magical with special live-fire cooking techniques. Or, to put it another way, one hell of a braai!

But where does he eat on his nights off? Ahead of the 2017 Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards, we asked David to share his top restaurant tips for Joburg and where he goes when travelling around SA.
