Drumstick leaves Rice/ முருங்கை இலை கீரை சாதம்:

Drumstick leaves have lots of nutritional benefits. They are rich in antioxidants and many other nutrients like Vitamin C, B6 and iron.
Leaves will be little bit sour which kids might not like it. To enhance the taste we can add curry leaves powder, or parupu podi (Dal powder).
You can prepare it in under 30 minutes..

Ingredients:
Oil/Ghee- 2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds- 1 teaspoon
Uraddal- 1 teaspoon
Channa dal- 1 teaspoon
Red chillies-2
Jeera-1 teaspoon
Onion-1
Drumstick leaves- 2 cups
Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon
Salt-3/4 teaspoon
Cooked rice- 2 cups
Curryleaves powder-2 tablespoons
Ghee- 1 teaspoon

Directions:
1. Heat 2 tsp oil or ghee. Add mustard seeds. When it starts to splutter, add uraddal, channadal, jeera and red chillies.Wait till dal turns golden brown.
2. Add onion and sauté until translucent.
3. Add drumstick leaves, turmeric powder and salt. Sauté until leaves has become soft.
4. Switch off the flame.
5. Add cooked rice, curry leaves powder and ghee. Mix it well.
6. This goes well with inion tomato thokku.
