Hi everyone, today I’m sharing a simple cookie recipe, the traditional Chinese walnut cookie.

It is said that the history of the cookie dates back to Tang dynasty, when a potter discovered the recipe by putting the walnut batter mix on the pottery furnace. It was then introduced and served in the palace. Therefore, the cookie is also called royal walnut cookie. Over the years, the cookie has maintain its popularity due to its crispy texture and nutty aroma.

The cookie is super easy to make, just follow the 3 simple steps and enjoy :)

做法很简单,只需三步即可。备料、拌匀、烤制即可。

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oil 1/2杯油
- 1/3 cup sugar 1/3杯糖
- 1 egg 1个蛋
- 225g cake flour 225克低筋面粉
- 2g baking soda 2克小苏打
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts 1杯核桃(切碎)
