1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1/2 cup maple syrup (at room temperature)
4 eggs (at room temperature)
1/2 cup buttermilk (at room temperature)
1/2 cup melted butter (at room temperature)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup superfine sugar
