When toddlers develop a fear of trying new food, it can throw off those happy meals youve been working so hard on! When they stop eating the foods they always liked before, it can be confusing and concerning.

Because a fear of trying new food is pretty normal for toddlers, and navigating this time is critical for setting your toddler up to be a good eater and have a healthy relationship with food.

Ill also talk about some of the common mistakes parents make when their toddler has a fear of trying new food and how to stay positive with feeding, even though you may be frustrated and worried.
