This Green chilli chutney/Pachai milagai chutney is one of my favorite chutney. This hot and spicy chutney is prepared with green chillies, coconut and little tamarind.It's a wonderful combination with all South Indian tiffin recipes.

Ingredients:
Green chillies- 25-30
Shredded coconut- 1/2 cup
Salt- As needed
Hing- A pinch
Tamarind- A small piece
Sesame oil- 2 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Uraddal- 1/2 tsp

Directions:
1. Grind green chillies, coconut, salt and hing into a fine paste with very little water.
2.Heat 2 tsp sesame oil in a pan. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and 1/2 tsp uradddal. When uraddal turns golden brown, add the ground chilli paste.
3.Saute everything for 2-3 minutes, and then switch off the heat.
It goes very well with idly, dosa and yogurt rice as well. You can keep it in the refrigirator for 2 weeks.
