The original stall, Qing Feng Yuan, was named after the 2 partners running the stall. With the recent departure of a partner, the stall has been changed to 'Qing Yuan' 慶源鱼汤.

The signature dishes on the menu remain intact, such as Batang Fish soup, Fish Head soup, Deep Fried Pomfret with Hong Kong Soy Sauce and Homemade Ngoh Hiang.

Simmered for hours using Kombu (or kelp), pig bones and batang fish bones, the milky broth is pleasant and comforting. An ingredient that adds a kick of umami to the soup is Tee Poh or dried sole fish. Once you are done with your bowl of soup, look out for the minced tiny bits at the bottom of the bowl!

Homemade Ngoh Hiang is meaty, well-marinated, and packed with water chestnut and mushroom. The deep fried pomfret is fried to perfection, drizzled with soy sauce and doused with thinly-shredded fried ginger. Ah Qing also offers blue cod fish soup, a premium dish rarely found in hawker centres. Do give it a try!
