Pumpkin Butter Recipe4 cups pumpkin puree (two sugar or pie pumpkins)2 tsp. ground cinnamon1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg1/4 tsp. ground cloves1/4 tsp. ground ginger1 cup brown sugar or to taste1 Tbsp. butterPreheat oven to 375 degrees F.Directions:Rinse pumpkin under running water. Then slice the pumpkin in half. Scoop out the seeds and save for roasting later.Place each pumpkin half, cut side down on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake 50 minutes or more or until a fork inserts easily into the flesh.Take pumpkin out of the oven and let it cool. Scrape the pumpkin from the skin and place in a food processor. Blend until the pumpkin is pureed.Pour the pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, butter and brown sugar into a crockpot. Stir and set the temperature to low.
