Hong Kong/China Trip - Restaurant Tour Final Part, April 2016 | Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef

On the final days of our Hong Kong/China visit, we stop by 2 really great restaurants located in Pan Yu, just outside Canton. In fact, these two restaurants were just minutes away from the snake restaurant, which goes to show you the diversity of what China has to offer.

China offers some world class Perigoid truffles and we were there to taste them. The taste of the food was truly amazing and although we didn't have anything to compare it to, the dishes were still outstanding.

In the next restaurant, it was place where you would choose your fresh seafood selections and then they would bring them to you one by one to have them freshly steamed, however, prior to this they would fill the bottom of the steam unit with uncooked rice, clams and ginger, so while you're steaming up the items above, the natural juices from the shrimp, crab, beef, chicken and clams would flavor the porridge slowing cooking below, which was your final dish. The taste of everything was incredibly amazing and if you ever get the chance to visit a place like this, don't hesitate a moment to give it a try. Words don't do it justice, because the different flavors were all so unique.

Thanks for watching our Hong Kong/China series; we hope you'll get a chance to visit these places one day and enjoy what we've experienced.

See you in our next episode...
