House of Tau Sar Piah (), Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah () Balestier Road

Balestier Road is home to a few shops selling old-school handmade Tau Sar Piah (bean paste pastry).

House of Tau Sar Piah () is located next to Kuan Yin Tng Temple. Established for over 25 years, the shop serves freshly baked vegan pastries. Tau Sar Piah fillings are wrapped in dough, and moulded by hand. Other than the traditional sweet and salty Tau Sar Piah, there is good range of other flavours to suit many taste buds. To distinguish, letters are stamped on the piah e.g. D for durian, P for pineapple, Y for yam, etc.

Their piah have a crispy, flaky crust, wrapped with fragrant fillings. Give these vegan piah a try!

Established by Mr Lee Wang Long since 1948, Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piahs () nostalgic setting takes you back to the 1970s. The ovens from the 1960s are still in use.

Two flavours are available - sweet and salty. Pork lard is used in their pastries. Baked to a crisp, the piah are filled with flavours, textures and a rich aroma.
