How to Fry Plantains

Fried plantain is a sweet-savory thick slice of ripe plantains lightly salted and deep-fried in oil till golden brown; it is one of the easiest and fast Nigerian food recipes, it is what we called Dodo. However, plantain is widely consumed from West Africa to East Africa and as well as Central and South America, this is also a staple food among the Caribbean.

Ingredients:
4 large-sized ripe plantains
Enough oil to deep fry
Salt to taste
Pepper flakes, optional
