How to Make Pupusas

Pupusas are flatbreads made of cornmeal or rice flour that are filled with ground meat, cheese, and some vegetables. Pupusa is a national dish in El Salvador and is also common in Honduras. This recipe is often served with a fermented salad of cabbage and carrots known as "curtido".

Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/2 cups of masa harina and 1/2 tsp of salt.
- 1 cup of refried beans
- 1 cup of cheese
- 4 tbsp of olive oil
- 500g pork
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper.
- 1 sliced tomato
- 1 small onion.
- 1/2 green bell pepper.

Curtido Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of sliced cabbage.
- 1/2 cup of grated carrots.
- 1 sliced small onion.
- 1 tbsp of Mexican oregano.
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar.
- 1 tsp of salt.
