I recently visited Accra, Ghana and one of the local meals I ate everyday, either as a snack or as an accompaniment to a major meal was Kelewele (Spicy Fried Plantains). I decided to recreate the recipe using some of my favorite spices and the result was the bestest kelewele I have ever had in my life.

1 red scotch bonnet pepper
1/2 onion bulb
1 thumb size ginger
2 small garlic cloves
1 teaspoon ground cloves
Veg oil for frying
Salt to taste
