Marinated fish fingers dipped coated with bread crumbs and deep fried, a popular starter.FISH STICKS - (Serves - 4)Ingredients250 grams boneless white fish fillets, cut into fingersOil for deep-frying1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste1 tablespoon lemon juiceSalt to taste½ cup idli rawa1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 eggTartar sauce¼ cup mayonnaiseCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 teaspoon chopped pickled jalapenos1 teaspoon chopped capers1 teaspoon chopped gherkins1 teaspoon chopped pickled onionsSalt to taste Method1. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.2. Take fish in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and salt and mix well.3. Spread idli rawa on a plate. Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.4. Break an egg in another bowl and whisk well. 5. Dip each marinated fish fingers in egg, coat with idli rawa mixture and transfer on another plate. 6. Deep-fry prepared fish fingers in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.7. To prepare tartar sauce, combine mayonnaise, crushed peppercorns, jalapenos, capers, gherkins, pickled onion and salt in another bowl and mix well.8.
