It can be prepared as a snack for unexpected guests or on busy morning days.Batter consistency is the most important step in making this vada as right amount of yogurt should be used to make the batter.The batter should not be thick or runny and the yogurt should not be very sour.Set the batter aside for 15 minutes. If the batter becomes thick, you can add little water to bring the right consistency.Adding baking soda will make the vada more crispy outside and soft inside.Ingredients:Bombay Rava (Sooji)-1.5 cupsGreen chillies-4Grated ginger-1 teaspoonCurry leaves/Coriander leavesSalt- As neededBaking soda- 1/8 teaspoon (optional)Onion-1Yogurt- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoonOil- for fryingDirections:1. Take sooji, green chillies, grated ginger, curry leaves or coriander leaves, salt, baking soda and onion in a big bowl.2. Add 1/2 cup yogurt and mix everything well to make a smooth batter. Add more yogurt or water to bring the right consistency.3. Batter should not be thick or runny. Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes.4.
