Usually it is made of Rava or Sooji.Unlike rava Kesari , Semiya Kesari requires less sugar. It is the best comforting dessert which is super easy to make within 10 minutes for all occasionsIt’s glossy look and the attractive color will make it a favorite dish among the kids.Ingredients:Ghee- 2 tablespoonsCashews- 5Semiya (Vermicelli)- 1 cupWater- 1.5 cupsRed color- A pinchSugar-1/2 cupCardamom-2Pista- 6Directions:1.Roast cashews in 1 tsp ghee until golden brown. Set aside.2.Roast vermicelli in the remaining ghee for 2 minutes. Set aside.3.Boil 1.5 cups of water. Add and cook vermicelli until soft.4.Add red food color and mix well.5.When water evaporates, add sugar. Keep stirring.6.Add 1 tsp ghee. When the mixture starts to leave the edges of the pan, add cardamom and pista pieces. Switch off the flame. Add fried cashews.Semiya Kesari is ready!!
