Bread sandwiches with banana stuffing dipped into idli batter and steamed.JAIN IDLI SANDWICHIngredientsIdli batter for coating4-6 bread slices2 medium raw bananas, boiled and mashed1-2 green chillies, crushed1 teaspoon sugarSalt to taste½ teaspoon garam masala powder1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh coriander leavesJuice of ½ lemonGreen chutney as requiredJain Sichuan sauce as requiredMethod1. Heat some water in a steamer. 2. Combine mashed bananas, green chillies, sugar, salt, garam masala powder, chopped coriander and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well. 3. Cut bread slices into 4 equal pieces. Spread green chutney on few of bread piece. Put some banana mixture on few bread slices and place it over chutney bread slice. Spread some Sichuan sauce on few bread slices and place it inverted over banana mixture bread slice. These are sandwiches.4. Add salt to idli batter and mix well. Coat each sandwich with idli batter and place it on idli stand. Place the stands in preheated steamer, cover and steam till the batter is cooked.5. Remove from heat and cool. 6. Diagonally cut the idli sandwiches.
