Preparation time :
For Kanji:
Water - 1.5 litres
Yellow mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
Small black mustard seeds (rai)- 1 tbsp
Carom seeds -1/2 tsp
Mustard oil - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Dry Red chillies - 4
Black salt -1 tsp
Normal salt -1 tsp
Asafoetida -1/4 tsp
Mint leaves (optional)
Boondi (optional)

For Vada :
Moong dal (soaked) - 1 cup
Urad dal (soaked)- 1/2 cup
Ginger -2 inch
Green chilli-1
Coriander leaves
Salt
Asafoetida -1/4 tsp
Cooking oil to fry
