Ingredients for Soaking Fish:
Water as required
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Fish (Rohu) 1 kg

Ingredients for Masala Preparation:
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Dried Fenugreek 1 tbsp
Carom seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Gram flour 1 tbsp
Salt 2 tsp
Lemon juice 3-4 tbsp
Soaked fish

Ingredients for Tamarind Sauce:
Tamarind pulp 1 cup
Mint leaves 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Jaggery 1/2 tsp
Dried mango powder 1/2 tsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp / to taste

Ingredients for Masala Fish:
Oil (for frying) as required
Marinated Fish

Directions for Soaking Fish:
1. In a bowl add water, vinegar, ginger garlic paste and mix well. Now add fish into it and soak for 5 minutes.
Directions for Masala Preparation:
2. In a grinder add red chili powder, red chili flakes, fenugreek seeds, carom seeds, cumin seeds, gram flour, salt and grind into finer powder.
3. In a bowl add soaked fish, prepared masala, lemon juice and marinate the fish well for 3 hours.
Directions for Tamarind Sauce Preparation:
4. In a blender add tamarind pulp, mint leaves, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, jaggery, salt, dried mango powder, red chili flakes and blend well. Your tamarind sauce is ready.
Directions for Masala Fish Preparation:
5. In a wok heat oil and shallow fry your marinated fish until fully cooked from each side.
6. Take off flame and serve with tamarind sauce. your Masala Fish is ready.

Cooking time: 10-15 mins
