Scrumptious samosa with peas stuffing on the inside. MATAR SAMOSAIngredients1 cup fresh green peas150 grams ready-made samosa dough, cut into strips1 tsp ghee1 tsp cumin seeds1-2 green chillies, chopped1 inch ginger, finely chopped1 small onion, finely choppedSalt to taste1½ tsps garam masala powderOil for deep fryingGreen chutney to serveSweet tamarind chutney to serve Chopped coriander for garnishMethod1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan; add cumin seeds, sauté till the colour changes. Add green chillies, ginger and sauté well. 2. Add onion, sauté well and cook till translucent. Add fresh green peas, 3-4 tbsps water and mix well. Add salt, garam masala powder, and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes or till the green peas are cooked.3. Mash the cooked mixture with a masher and cook for a minute. Take it off the heat and set aside to cool.4. Seal the edges of a samosa strip using a little water and stuff it with a portion of the prepared mixture and seal the top with a little more water to shape it like a samosa. Make more and set aside.5. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, deep fry the samosas till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.6.
