Moong (Lentil) Khichdi By Archana | India Food Network

Some days need a meal that comforts and nourishes but doesn't take too long to cook! Moong Khichadi is one such dish! Archana shows you an easy way to make this and shares some kitchen tips too!

Ingredients

• 3 tbsp pure ghee (clarified butter)
• Water to cook
• 1/2 cup moong dal (red lentil) & 1 cup rice, washed and soaked
• 1/2 to 1 inch dalchini (cinnamon)
• 2-3 lavang (cloves)
• 1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 hing (asafoetida)
• 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
