No rice No Uraddal Horsegram (Kollu) Diet Idly

A healthy twist to usual rice and uraddal idly.
This is an ideal high protein breakfast on a busy day.Horsegram has lots of health benefits. It boosts up immunity system, prevents anemia and diabetes, aids in weight loss and helps in eliminating kidney stones.
100 grams of horse gram has more than 20 grams of protein and 220 grams of calcium. This idly is made with just 2 main ingredients.

Ingredients:
Horsegram (Kollu)- 1 cup
Poha(aval)- 1/2 cup
Salt- 3/4 teaspoon

Directions:
1. Soak 1 cup horse gram and 1/2 cup oval together for 4-6 hours.
2. Grind into a thick and smooth batter using little oil. Add 3/4 tsp salt. Mix it well.
3. You can prepare idlies immediately or you can prepare it after fermenting it for 4 hours.
4. Brush oil on idly plates.Pour 1 ladle of batter into each hole on idly plates.
5. Steam it for 15 minutes.

Serve with Spicy chutney!!!
