Onion, Mushroom & Cheese Omelette | Breakfast Series | Rise & Shine | By KTT | Kashmiri Tadka Twist

Omelette is the easiest and perhaps the most loved & most common breakfast served around the world. Only difference is the way its made and the fillings used in it. Cheese Omelette is made from beaten eggs fried with butter or oil in a frying pan and on the top cheese is added. In Indian sub-continent, the most common filling used are onions and sometimes green chilies are added as well. You can literally add anything as filling.Some of the common fillings used are cheese, chives, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs like coriander etc. and in the west even meat is added (often ham or bacon) or some combination of the above.
In this video we have made Omelettes with onions and Cheese (Kids Favorite) and another one using Mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese.

Written Recipe: -
Ingredients:
Cheese and Onion Omelette:

1. Eggs - 3
2. Coriander leaves - Chopped (~1/4 Cup)
3. Onion - Chopped (1/2 small)
4. Cheese (Shredded) - 40 - 50 grams
5. Salt and Black Pepper (according to taste)
6. Green Chilies - 1 (Chopped)
7. Butter - enough for frying

Mushroom and Tomatoes Omelette:

1. Eggs -2
2. Mushroom and Tomatoes (Chopped) - ~ 40 gm each
3. Cheese (Shredded) - 40 - 50 grams
4. Salt and Black Pepper (according to taste)
5. Butter - enough for frying

Method:

Cheese and Onion Omelette:

1. Break eggs in a bowl and add salt and pepper
2. Add half of chopped onions, coriander leaves and green chilies
3. Beat the eggs and mix the ingredients well
4. Heat butter in a pan on medium heat and pour the eggs in pan for frying
5. Cover and cook for 2 mins in low heat
6. Half fold the egg and cover and cook for another 1 min on low heat
7. Cheese-Onion Omelette is Ready!

Mushroom and Tomatoes Omelette:

1. Add butter (~ 1 tbsp) in a pan
2. Add chopped mushrooms and tomatoes and saute for about 2 mins or until mushrooms turn golden brown.
3. Turn off the flame and Keep Aside.
4. Break eggs in a bowl and add salt and pepper
5. Add the mushrooms and tomatoes
6. Beat the eggs and mix the ingredients well
4. Heat butter in a pan on medium heat and pour the eggs in pan for frying
5. Cover and cook for 2 mins in low heat
6. Fold the egg and cover and cook for another 1 min on low heat
7. Mushroom and Tomatoes Omelette is Ready!
