Pathrode Recipe Mangalorean Style | Pathrode In Coconut Gravy | Pathrode Gassi Recipe | Pathrode
Pathrode is a favourite dish of many. This is the special seasonal food of Tulu Nadu. It is a belief that Colocasia leaves should be intaken in any form, during the month of July - August (Ati). There are many variations in patrode recipe. In this video, I have shown pathrode steamed and then dunked in coconut gravy.
Pathrode is prepared using colocasia leaves usually grown in the backyards of most of the houses in the Mangalore region. very important some colocasia leaves are itchy. so you have to be a little careful when choosing the leaves. the tender ones are supposed to be non-itchy. tamarind is always added more to any dish with colocasia to offset any itchiness.
