This Pineapple Cake Sundae is a quick dessert idea perfect for the hot summer days. Pineapple is covered in a rich brown sugar and butter mixture spooned over your favorite ice-cream.It's a great, easy and time saving dessert option that comes together in no time.
Ingredients:
Butter-1/4 cup
Brown sugar- 1/4 cup
Honey- 1 tbsp
Ground cinnamon- 1/8 tsp
Chopped pineapple-1 cup
Dulce de leche ice-cream- 1 pint
Pound cakes- 6 slices
Whipped cream - As needed
Cherries- 4

Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread crumbled pound cake pieces on a 13 by 9 inch baking pan.
2. Bake for 5-10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
3. In a small skillet. melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. stir in 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tbsp honey.
4.After 2 minutes, add 1 cup pineapple chunks and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from stove and turn off the heat.
5.Scoop ice-cream into the serving bowl. Top with crumbled cake , warm pineapple mixture, whipping cream and a cherry.
Serve immediately.
