Prawn Noodle Soup | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A one pot meal of spicy noodle soup with prawns for your winter evenings. A must try !

PRAWN NOODLE SOUP

Ingredients

10-12 medium prawns, shelled and deveined
150 grams noodles, boiled
1 tablespoon oil
2-3 spring onion with greens, chopped
½ inch ginger, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1-2 fresh red chillies, chopped
1 teaspoon five spice powder
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2-3 cups chicken stock
2 teaspoons soy sauce
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
12-15 sugar snap peas

Method

1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add spring onion with greens, ginger, garlic and fresh red chillies and saute for a minute.
2. Add five spice powder and mix. Add cornstarch and chicken stock and stir to mix. Add prawns and noodles and stir.
3. Add soy sauce, salt, crushed peppercorns and snap peas, mix and simmer till the prawns are fully cooked.
4. Serve hot.

Preparation Time: 8-10 minutes
Cooking Time: 7-8 minutes
