ROAST DUCK Recipe - VỊT QUAY | Helen's Recipes | Helen's Recipes (Vietnamese Food)

Unlike Peking duck that normally takes 5 days to prepare, my roast duck is simpler and only takes about half a day to make with no special equipment. This is the ultimate roast duck recipe that one can make at home. Đây là công thức làm món vịt quay da giòn hấp dẫn mà bạn có thể làm tại nhà.
►Ingredients:
1 whole duck abt 1.5kg (3 lbs)
➥ Mix 1: To Rub (This helps reduce the gamey smell)
1 thumb-size piece ginger
1 tbsp cooking wine or strong alcohol like volka
1 tsp salt
➥ Mix 2: To marinate

2 tsp sugar
1 tsp chicken stock powder
1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp cooking wine
2 tbsp oyster sauce
3 scallions
3 slices ginger

➥ Mix 3: To Poach
2 liters water
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp honey
2 star anise
➥ Mix 4: To Glaze
2 tbsp vinegar

To Serve:
cucumber and carrot cut into sticks
green onion leaves finely shreded and soaked in cold water
rice paper
