Salt and Pepper Shrimp is normally deep fried with shells on, but it is more practical and easier to pan fry at home. The pepper normally refers to Sichuan Peppercorn but it can be substituted with black peppercorn. It is a great appetizer or a side dish.

Ingredients:
1/2 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined
corn or potato starch (or flour)
1/4 of an onion, diced
1/4 of a bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, minces
2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns, ground (or black peppercorns)
1 tbsp kosher salt, ground
vegetable oil
