Garlic powder1 tsp. Dried oreganoSalt and pepper to taste8-10 leaves of fresh basil, rolled and choppedDirections:Combine olive oil, lemon zest and juice to a marinating container, and mix to combine. Lay the chicken thighs in the dish and toss to coat with tongs.Season the thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Sprinkle the chopped basil overall and then toss the chicken over. Season the second side with the salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano.Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours up to overnight. When you are ready to grill, preheat your grill to medium high heat.When hot, lay the chicken on the grill using tongs. You may have to lower the temperature to medium low at this point. Close the grill and cook for about 4 minutes. Check for grill marks and then turn the pieces over.Cook on the second side for another 4 minutes and then check the internal temperature with an instant read thermometer. The chicken is done when the temperature reaches between 160 -165 degrees F. \Remove the chicken to a plate and lay a piece of foil over the top to keep warm.
