Mr & Mrs Tang, both in their 70s, have been making their traditional pancakes for the last 3 decades. The couple takes pride cultivating their own natural yeast in the same old way that the stall's founder, Mrs Tang's father, used to do since 1960s. It is the yeast that gives the pancake its distinct chewy texture and flavour. Preparation at the stall starts at 2.30am in the wee hours. By 3.30am, peanut pancakes are ready to be served. Each piece is generously packed with fragrant ground peanuts. The ring pancakes that come in different flavours are served with flower coloured paper cups that reminds one of childhood days!Watch video to see Uncle's unique way of making small pancakes using metal ring moulds!Operating hours:3.30am - 11.30amClosed on Mon, Wed, FriAddress:Tanglin Halt Market & Food Centre #01-16Music:Memories from https://www.bensound.comJoin HappyCat. for more food adventures!
