The 19-year-old stall, specialising in chicken claypot rice, is run by a couple - Mr Pan and Mdm Tan. Rice is cooked from scratch, firstly with the gas stove, before transferring to the charcoal stove. With so many stoves in the small stall, it's not hard to imagine the built-up heat that the couple has to bear.Ingredients are none other than chicken, salted fish, Lup Cheong (pork sausage), Yun Cheong (liver sausage). Once cooked, the pot is drizzled with flavoured oil and dark soy sauce. The dish is fragrant and has a smoky flavour. Claypot rice lovers will certainly not miss the crispy scorched bits of rice at the sides and bottom of the pot.
