Established for over a century since 1908, Zam Zam has poised itself as a legendary restaurant specialising in traditional and authentic halal Indian cuisines. Located right opposite Sultan Mosque at North Bridge Road, Zam Zam is known for its Murtabak and Briyani. Other than the quintessentials like chicken, mutton and beef Murtabak, the less common fillings found here are tuna, sardine and deer meat. Generous fillings are packed inside the dough, and for big portions, an additional layer of dough is laid to give more layering. Not only that, for mutton or beef flavours, more minced meat is sprinkled on the top of dough. Pair it with the Dalcha curry, the dish is incredibly delicious - crispy on the outside and soft inside. It is surely one of the great things to savour at Kampong Glam in Singapore. The basmati rice in the Briyani is nicely spiced and fragrant. The chicken is so tender that it just falls off the bone.
