Tandoori Fish Curry
Serves 6-7
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Fish pieces 750 g
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) tsp
-Namak (Salt) tsp or to taste
-Tandoori masala 2 tbs
-Koyla (Charcoal) for smoke
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) 2 medium
-Adrak (Ginger) 1 inch piece
-Lehsan (Garlic) 7-8 cloves
-Pyaz (Onion) cubes 1 large
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) 1
-Dahi (Yogurt) whisked 2-3 tbs
-Tandoori masala 1 tbs
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) tsp
-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
-Garam masala powder 1 tsp
-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) tbs
-Sarson ka tel (Mustard oil) 1/4 Cup
-Cooking oil 1-2 tbs
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) tbs
-Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) 15-16
-Badi elaichi (Black cardamom) 1
-Laung (Cloves) 3-4
-Darchini (Cinnamon stick) 1
-Pani (Water) hot 1 Cup or as required
-Namak (Salt) tsp or to taste
-Kasuri meethi (Dried fenugreek leaves) 1 tbs
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped

Directions:
-In bowl add fish pieces, turmeric powder, salt, tandoori masala and rub evenly.
-Give a charcoal smoke for 2-3 minutes.
-Cover & marinate for 30 minutes in refrigerator.
-In chopper add tomatoes, chop well & set aside.
-In chopper add ginger, garlic, onion, green chilli, chop well & set aside.
-In bowl add yogurt, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masla powder & coriander powder. Whisk well & set aside.
-In pot add mustard oil and heat it until it comes to smoke point. Fry fish pieces in it from both sides until done (approx. 2-3 minutes). Set aside.
-In the same pot add cooking oil, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and saute.
-Now add grinded onion mixture and cook for 4-5 minutes.
-Add spiced yogurt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
-Add prepared tomato puree and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes then cook on high flame until oil separates.
-Add hot water, salt and mix well.
-Add dried fenugreek leaves and mix.
-Now add fried fish pieces, cover and simmer on low flame for 1-2 minutes.
-Garnish with fresh coriander & serve!

Directions:
-Bowl mein fish pieces, haldee powder, namak aur tandoori masala daal ker evenly rub ker lein.
-2-3 minutes k liye koyla k dhuwan dein.
-Dhak ker 30 minutes k liye refrigerator mein marinate ker lein.
-Chopper mein tamatar daal ker ache tarha chop ker lein & side per rakh dein.
-Chopper mein adrak, lehsan, pyaz aur hari mirch daal ker ache tarha chop ker lein & side per rakh dein.
-Bowl mein dahi, tandoori masala, haldee powder, zeera powder, lal mirch powder, garam masala powder aur dhania powder daal ker ache tarha whisk karein & side per rakh dein.
-Pot mein sarson ka tel daal ker smoke point anay tak garam ker len aur fish pieces ko is may dono sides se fry ker lein (approx. 2-3 minutes). Side per rakh dein.
-Us he pot mein cooking oil, zeera, sabut kali mirch, badi elaichi, laung aur darchini daal ker ache tarha mix karein.
-Ab grinded pyaz mixture daal ker ache tarha 4-5 minutes tak pakayen.
-Spiced dahi daal ker ache tarha mix karein aur 2-3 minutes tak pakayen.
-Tayyar tamatar puree daal ker ache tarha mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 2-3 minutes k liye paka lein phir tez ancch oil alag honay tak paka lein.
-Garam pani daal ker ache tarha mix ker lein.
-Kasuri methi daal ker mix karein.
-Ab fried fish pieces daalen aur halki ancch per 1-2 minutes k liye dum per rakh dein.
-Hara dhania daal ker serve karein!
