Thakkali Pachadi | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chopped tomatoes tempered with mild spices and mixed with curd.

THAKKALI PACHADI

Ingredients

2 small tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon oil
¼ teaspoon mustard seeds
¼ teaspoon split black gram skinless
3 dried red chillies, broken
A pinch of asafoetida
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ cup curd
Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, split black grams, red chillies and asafoetida.
2. When the seeds begin to splutter add the tomatoes, salt and red chilli powder and mix well. Cover and cook till soft. Set aside to cool completely
3. Add the curd and mix well.
4. Serve cold garnished with coriander sprig.
