Uggli Muffins to $2 Crepes Toa Payoh Lorong 1 & Crepes

Hi welcome to Lisa and Tricia foodie Tv. Im Tricia and Im back again! Let me know if you are still following my youtube channel in the comments below.
Flashback to pre-pandemic times, I stumbled upon a hidden gem in Toa Payoh Lorong 1, home to the most delightfully uggli muffins you could imagine. Priced between $1.40 and $1.70, these petite treats is perfect for savoring in just three bites. My first visit was met with a bustling queue, a testament to their irresistible charm, while my second trip was a breeze with a shorter line.
These muffins hold a special place in my heart, as they were once a surprise treat brought back to the office by my colleagues. The store itself is a quirky fusion, pairing a traditional tze char setup with a bakery twist. The tale goes back to the owner, originally was his parents tze char stall, decided to switch gears and bake up these muffins instead.
Fast forward to today, Im here to indulge in the owners latest creation crepes! Its a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminiscing over those sweet, tiny, muffins. In a twist of fate, the owner contemplated closing shop in October 2023, seeking a successor. But destiny had other plans. A trip to Paris inspired a new vision, leading to the birth of crepes in Singapore, oozing with chocolate, caramel, and banana goodness all for just $2! Plus, you can jazz it up with a scoop of ice cream and even use your CDC voucher.
Would I make a return visit? Well, the crepes are tempting, but the challenge of navigating them with a tiny wooden spoon gives me pause. And with no queue in sight, the experience felt a bit different, missing the warm welcome I once knew.
