Upside Down Keema Potato Rice

Ingredients for Keema:
Oil 1/3 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Onion (sliced) 1 cup + 1 cup
Beef keema 800 g
Tomatoes (sliced) 1 cup + 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Capsicum (julienne) 1 cup
Green chilies (slit) 1/4 cup
Water 1 cup

Ingredients for Assembling:
Potato slices 15-16
Butter (for greasing) as required
Boiled rice 3 cups
Prepared keema
Yellow food color 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp

Directions for Keema Preparation:
1. Heat oil in a pot, add garlic, and cook for a minute. Now add onion and cook until translucent.
2. Now add keema and cook until it changes color. Add tomatoes and cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, red chili flakes, garam masala powder and mix well. Add water and now cover and cook until keema is fully done over medium low flame.
4. Remove lid and add yogurt, cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Now add capsicum, 1/2 cup of tomatoes, onion, green chilies and cook for a minute. Your keema is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
6. Take a pot and grease it with butter.
7. Now add a layer of potato slices, boiled rice, keema and then add yellow food color on top. Repeat this step as needed.
8. Cover and steam over low flame for 12-15 minutes.
9. Now turn pot upside down on a dish until all the layers come out intact.
10. Remove the pot and your keema potato rice is ready.
