Visit Fenton's Ice Cream Parlor And Learn My Fenton's Secret When You Order An Ice Cream Sundae!

If you love ice cream and you are in the San Francisco bay area, maybe you are traveling, you've got to stop by the famous Fenton's Creamery. There are two full sized parlor locations.

One is on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland California (original location) and Vacaville California since 2007. There is also a kiosk at the Oakland Airport.

This is a must see/try especially if you are an ice cream lover! I've been going to this ice cream parlor ever since I can remember. My favorite sundae was always the Black and White.

Now that I'm older and I don't want to grow any wider, I've changed to the petite sundae of mint chip ice cream topped with hot delicious fudge topped with their homemade, handmade whipped cream. No nuts or cherry for me!

It's just amazingly great quality ice cream and toppings. I mention in the video about my secret but I will mention it again. Sorry the audio wasn't optimal.

The secret is, Fenton's serves their whipping cream two different ways. One is out of a can (they make this) and the other way is what they call homemade or handmade. They don't advertise this or if they do it is in small print.

If you don't ask for it you will get the whipping cream from the can. There is nothing wrong with this, it's just not as rich and creamy as the handmade.

How did I find out about this? One time I ordered and I supposed they started introducing the can stuff and when I got my sundae I was like "okay what's up with my whipped cream??" I notice these little things. :)

That's when the waitress told me about the two different types of whipping cream and you have to request the handmade one or you automatically get the canned version.

So know you know my little secret about Fenton's.

I'm sure for Fenton's, by putting it in a bottle, the whipping cream goes further and is easy to apply.

Have an Ice Cream adventure and try your next Sundae with Handmade whipping cream!!

Leave me a comment about your visit! I'd love to hear about it!
