Garlic powder2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar of a lime, juicedPinch of Salt2 - 3 cracks of pepperDirections:Rinse, peel and cut the potatoes into bite size chunks. Place them in a pot and fill with water. Cover the potatoes by about 2 to 3 inches with water. Add a nice pinch of salt ( 2 tsp.) cover and bring to a boil with a lid. Once they come to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer until fork tender, check in 8 to 10 minutes.Once done, drain the water from the potatoes by draining them into a colander. Place the potatoes back in the pot and partially cover with the lid to keep warm.Lay the bacon in a single layer in a large frying pan over medium heat. Do not add any oil to the pan. Cook the bacon, turning frequently. Once it is crispy brown, place it on a paper-towel covered plate to drain. Drain the grease in the pan into a cup.Next, slice the precooked sausages and place them into the same frying pan along with about a teaspoon of the bacon grease. Over medium low heat, stir the sausages until they turn a golden brown and are warmed up.Slice the green onions, and place in a large mixing bowl. Do the same with the parsley. Chop this into small pieces and add it to the bowl.Make the dressing by combining the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, garlic powder, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, a pinch of salt and pepper. Use a whisk to combine well.Add the potatoes to the large mixing bowl with the parsley and onion. Add the sausage, the crumbled or chopped bacon, and the basil. Gently toss to combine the ingredients and then add several tablespoons of the dressing and toss some more.Use as much dressing as desirable, tossing to coat. Save any left over dressing for other salads. The amount of dressing in this recipe can make a double batch if you prefer.Let me know how you like this wonderful warm German salad!
