Bacon Wrapped Mochi - Cooking Japanese

Mochi is a rice cake made by pounding rice into a paste and molding it into a desired shape. Mochi is eaten year round but is also a traditional food for Japanese New Year. Mochi is served many different ways as a snack, a desert, in soups, an even as mocha ice cream. In this version we pair it with bacon and mozzarella cheese. If you are a bacon lover then this is a must try. The combination of mochi and bacon is a savory treat. And the mozzarella cheese tops it off. Serve it with a side of soy sauce and enjoy. Be sure to make a lot because it will disappear fast!
