Hi everyone, welcome to Lisa and Tricia Singapore Foodie TV. Today Im going to take you to take you to eat Bak Kut Teh. Bak Kut Teh in Chinese means rou gu chao. This dish is common to Singapore Malaysia and believed to be originated from Chinas Fujian province. There are 3 versions of bah kut teh: Hokkien are saltier, dark brown in colur with herbs and rock sugar. Cantonese comes with more herbal tastes include mushroom, Chinese cabbage and dried tofu. Teochew soups are slightly more pepperish and seasoned with Garlic.
Today we are going to Serangoon Garden to eat Kota Zheng Zong Bak Kut Teh. This bak Kut Teh started in Malaysia, Johor Bahru and its first outlet is in Holland Village. This is the Cantonese as it is quite herbal in taste. Letss take a look at the menu. Hope you like my video, Bak Kut Teh
