Kinako is sort of a roasted soybean powder that can be found in many types of Japanese sweets, such as mochi and dango. Besides Japanese kinako, there are also Korean and Taiwanese brands of kinako available in Asian supermarkets. It is common for Taiwanese kinako to include sugar, so you need to always check the labels carefully.
