Furofuki Daikon with Ground Pork Sauce
Servings: 2

INGREDIENTS
400g (abt 10cm) daikon

A
200ml water
1/2 tablespoon dashi powder
1/2 tablespoon mirin
A pinch, salt

Group Pork Sauce
80g group pork
1/2 tablespoon potato starch

B
6 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon sugar

Perilla leaves, as needed

PREPARATION
1. Cut the daikon into slices (2.5cm) and peel. Make a cut on both sides of each slice. Mix all of the ingredient A in a bowl and add daikon slices.
2. Cover the bowl (1) loosely with a food wrap. Microwave for 8 minutes at 600W. Flip daikon slices and microwave for another 8 minutes.
3. Shred perilla laves. Mix the ground pork and potato starch in a bowl. Add all of the ingredients B and mix well.
4. Insert a wooden stick to make sure all daikon slices are cooked.
5. Cover the bowl (3) with a food wrap. Microwave for 2 minutes and a half at 600W.
6. Stir (5) well. Place daikon slices (4) on a plate. Spoon the sauce (5). Put some shredded perilla leaves on top.
7. Enjoy!
