Simmered Deep Fried Tofu with Mushrooms
Servings: 2

INGREDIENTS
2 thick deep fried tofu (aka Atsuage)
1 Japanese leek
50g Maitake mushrooms
80g ground pork
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
Vegetable oil, as needed
1 teaspoon sesame oil
A
200ml dashi soup
1 tablespoon sake
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Potato starch, as needed

PREPARATION
1. Cut the Atsuage into 3cm x 1.5cm pieces. Cut the leek into 5mm slices. Break apart the Maitake mushrooms into smaller pieces.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan. Cook the ground pork on medium heat. Add chopped garlic and Maitake mushrooms and stir fry.
3. Add all of the ingredient A and Atsuage (1) into the pan. Simmer on medium heat for 2 minutes.
4. Put the leek slices (1). Add potato starch (mixed with water) to thicken. Bring the heat to high and add some sesame oil.
5. Enjoy!
