Easy Garlic Brown Butter Mashed Potatoes Recipe by Rockin Robin

I will show you step by step how to brown butter and use them in this mash potato recipe. You can use brown butter for just about any time you need to use butter in a recipe.

For example, you can use it to drizzle on vegetables or spread it on a nice warm french bread. You can use it for pasta too. Yum. You can even use it in your baking.

Using browned butter makes the butter taste somewhat nutty and rich. It's so good you will want to brown it all the time!

In this recipe, we toss the garlic cloves right in the pot with the potatoes. When the potatoes are done so is the garlic. The garlic is nice and soft and mashes up easily with the potatoes.

If you are so inclined, you could roast a whole bulb of garlic in the oven and use that. It would taste even better, but you have to plan ahead as roasted garlic takes about an hour to roast in the oven.

You can use any type of potato you like. I used Yukon gold potatoes in the recipe but you could use red potatoes or russet potatoes. It's really up to you.

You can also peel the skin off or leave it on. Just make sure to rinse the potatoes well before cooking.

The other thing I like to do is heat up the milk before adding it to the potatoes. You can also use cream, or even chicken broth. It all works.

Then season with salt and pepper. That's it.

So take your mash potatoes to the next level by cooking and adding browned butter. You will love it.
