You've seen the ingredients in this so you know it's healthy. Most importantly it's got amazing flavor.Orange Chicken Gluten FreeIngredients:Sauce cup fresh orange juice cup brown sugar cup rice vinegar2 Tbsp Tamari sauce, or soy sauce if not gluten free tsp. Sesame oil tsp. Orange extract cup water1 tsp. Ginger root, minced tsp red pepper flakes1 Tbsp. green onion, chopped fine1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 tsp. WaterChicken1 lbs. Boneless skinless chicken thighs, fat removed, and cut into bite size pieces cup cornstarch cup gluten free flour, Bobs Red Mill 1 to 1 baking flour tsp. Salt1 egg2 Tbsp. Avocado oilDirections:We will start off making our sauce. Place all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan except for the cornstarch and 1 tsp. Water. Bring to a boil and then lower the temperature to simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm.Cook some white rice if you are serving it with your orange chicken. Keep warm.In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cup cornstarch, and tsp. of salt. In another bowl, whisk the egg. Preheat a large frying pan over medium high heat. Add the avocado oil to the pan. Place some of the chicken into the whisked egg to coat. Then take individual pieces out of the egg mixture and place it into the flour/cornstarch mixture to coat. Go ahead and use your fingers! Place the coated pieces of chicken into the frying pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn them over and cook another 3 to 4 minutes or until done and no longer pink.Place the cooked chicken pieces onto a wire rack to cool. Cover the chicken with a loose piece of foil to keep warm.Pour the excess oil out of the frying pan into a cup to cool. Place the pan back on the stove and pour the sauce into the frying pan. Bring the sauce to a boil and then turn the heat down so you have a simmer.Add just enough water to the 1 Tbsp. of cornstarch. Mix with a spoon until its blended in. Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce stirring constantly. Turn the heat up to keep the sauce simmering. You may not add all the cornstarch. It just depends on how thick you want your sauce. Once youve added the cornstarch continue to cook the sauce for 2 or 3 minutes while stirring.Turn off the heat and add the chicken and toss to coat. Serve with rice and enjoy! Thanks for watching and sharing!Rockin RobinP.S. Please help me spread the word about my channel.
