You heard of the famous Boon Tong Kee, Wee. Nam Kee. This Five Star Chicken Rice is recommended by a friend. She said it is one of the best chicken rice she has eaten before. Five star chicken has a few branches. The main store is at east coast Road. The other outlets are at Beauty World, River Valley. Ah five chicken rice is located at Ang Mo which is opened by the children of the owner. Initially, we wanted to order this set, but it is available from 11 am to 4pm. We ordered the Char Siew, they have the steamed chicken or the roasted chicken. We ordered the roasted. The skin is pretty crispy. The vegetarian curry is pretty rich of coconut milk, and will cover the chicken rice flavour. We have a choice of plain or white rice and are charged separately from the chicken. The 5 star chicken serves Kampung chicken which explains the smaller size of the chicken. The lime juice is served in a metal cup which looks very traditional. Though they took our orders at the table and serve to the food to us, they do not charge any service charge.
