Many people want improvement in their lives. How do you improve your life? First of all, how do you define improvement? In a small way, lets say you have never tried eating a new place and you decided to go and try the food there. After eating the food, you will have a new experience to know whether the food is good or not. This by itself is an improvement. This is because previously you do not know how is the food at the new place but now you know. It does not have to be something major for an improvement.

Recently, I visited this place called 73@Hillcrest. It is located at Bukit Timah area. The nearest MRT station is Tan Kah Kee MRT station. 73@Hillcrest is a coffeeshop by day and a bistro by night. In the morning, you can order dishes from the stalls. In the evening time, you can order dishes from their menu.
Today, I am going to try their signature Iberico BBQ Ribs. Now, Spain is very famous for their native breed of pigs called Iberian pigs and it is known to be very tasty. Iberian pigs have black hooves. Thats why they are sometimes called Pata Negra. The Iberian pigs wander around the countryside happily. In the last 3 months of their lives, Iberian pigs usually eat acorns that fell from the oak trees. These acorns have an oleric acid which enhances the meat further.

The Iberico BBQ Ribs is served with Cajun fries and fresh coleslaw. The pork rib is so tender and soft. There are thin layers of gorgeous fats lining the meat, which made every bite succulent. This dish is absolutely very good.

If someone mentioned to you that the best beef is wagyu beef, then the best pork is from Iberian pig.

Another signature dish is this ramen from the Japanese stall. The people behind this ramen owns a ramen shop in Kobe, Osaka which won the Michelin Bib Gourmand award. There is a generous amount of ramen noodles in it. The chashu has a beautiful charred surface. I like the dashi broth, which I find it quite light and flavourful.

In the morning, I went to try the traditional liver or kidney mee sua at the coffeeshop. At first sight, I am quite surprised that they serve this mee sua in a traditional Chinese bowl. The bowl of mee sua really smell very good. The meat is tender, the soup is very flavorful and it seems very potent. It is like a tonic soup especially when you drink it in the morning. Although the bowl of mee sua taste very good, I still think it is pretty expensive to spend $7.50 for it.

Overall you can see that the owner of this place takes great effort to ensure the quality of food here.
